Could the GB be using this forum?
by Kristofer ini sometimes wonder if perhaps some of the higher ups in the organization are visiting this forum.
perhaps it has become a valuable source for them to "test the waters" before something goes public to see what the reaction would be?
am i overreacting?

The World Trade Towers a symbol of business, The Pentagon a symbol of power, attempt on the White House a symbol of government, it's only logical the Watchtower Buildings would be next after all he hasn't gone for a symbol of bad taste yet.

George Carlin's New Rules for 2006
by Nathan Natas innew rule: stop giving me that pop-up ad for classmates.com!
there's a reason you don't talk to people for 25 years.
besides, i already know what the captain of the football team is doing these days: mowing my lawn.

To bad George Carlin didn't serve at Bethel under Nathan Knorr and Fred Franz, he would have had twenty years worth of material.

My Bethel elder use to sit at the head of the table and pick at people. He didn't like it that I had a mustache, he didn't like it that we would have our own conversations at the end of the table, no freedom of thought in that joint, he was all smiles when I left Bethel, so was I.

Franz and a "New" Witness Organization?
by Nellie in.
this strikes me as typical "apostate phobia propaganda" - but a "witness" just told me that ray franz started a "new order of jehovah's witnesses" after he was disfellowshipped.. is there any truth to this?

I was at Bethel when Ray was still there in the seventies. He was truly a nice guy and definitely more approachable than Knorr or Fred Franz or anyone else I meet on the GB with the possible exception of Dan Sidlick who was also very approachable GB'er who pitched for us when we played baseball during our luch hour. I heard Knorr tried to keep Dan out of the GB for a long time. If Ray ever did start a religion I might join I think his would be interesting and fun.
